Green Berry Raum: Harrisburg was home to Civil War General Green Berry Raum. After his military service, Raum became the president of the Vincennes to Cairo Railroad, served in the United States Congress (1867–1869), was Director of the Internal Revenue Service (1876–1883), and United States Commissioner of Pensions (1889–1893). Both he and his wife are buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
