The Saline County Historical Society was established in 1945. It is a Non-profit 501(c) 3 organization. Our purpose is to stimulate interest in the history of Saline County and Southern Illinois. We strive to maintain a museum that preserves historical materials and artifacts. We exist to preserve our past and provide a learning experience based on our common history.
